Peggy Connolly brings to the CSR field 20 years of experience in journalism, national politics and non-governmental organization (NGO) sectors in the United States. In 2003 she assumed the position of Communications Director for the Center for Corporate Citizenship at Boston College, the largest academic-based research center on corporate responsibility in the United States.

Ms. Connolly manages strategic communications activities including publications, internet communications, media relations, and brand management for The Center which has a membership base of 350 of the largest global companies. The Center works with companies to help them define, plan, and operationalize their corporate citizenship. The Center offers executive education courses, research reports, white papers and sponsors an annual conference and other learning and networking opportunities.

Before joining The Center, she was Director of Communications and Education at Oxfam America from 1993-2002 and was part of an international team responsible for creating a global communications and marketing strategy for its international development activities. Her experience in national politics included several positions including communications director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, issues strategist for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and national press secretary for the 1992 presidential campaign of former Senator Paul Tsongas. She graduated from Northeastern University with a B.A. in journalism and was a newspaper reporter for five years in Lowell, MA.
